Bradley Booth studies in D.C. for spring 2021 semester
University of North Georgia (UNG) graduate Bradley Booth gained valuable experience this spring through the Fund for American Studies' (TFAS) Capital Semester on International Affairs + Public Policy. The cadet, who earned a degree in international affairs with a European concentration in August, was one of 14 students from across the U.S. to take part in the program.

Two UNG students were selected for the highly competitive Georgia Legislative Internship Program (GLIP). The program is only open to juniors and seniors, who are selected from schools throughout the University System of Georgia.

Five students earn undergraduate research opportunities this summer
Five University of North Georgia students pursuing degrees in the College of Science and Mathematics won highly competitive research internships to work at renowned programs and facilities for the upcoming summer. The students included three physics majors, one biology major, and one chemistry major.

Recent UNG alumnus and cadet serve as White House interns
A recent University of North Georgia (UNG) alumnus and a cadet spent the fall as interns at the White House. Mitchell Fariss, a 2017 graduate who majored in international affairs, interned in the Office of Public Liaison. Evan Setter, a sophomore from Woodstock, Georgia, majoring in political science, was an intern in Vice President Mike Pence's office.

UNG alumnae selected for internships with Department of Energy
Three recent University of North Georgia (UNG) graduates were awarded internships with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to study at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico and the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) in Richland, Washington. As part of the DOE, a cabinet-level department of the national government that oversees policies regarding energy and safety on nuclear material, the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) provides research experience at DOE laboratories to college students on current programs or ones chosen by the intern.
