Zachary Hanvey commissions as second lieutenant

In ceremonies held Aug. 2 at the University of North Georgia (UNG), graduating cadets were awarded commissions as second lieutenants in the U.S. armed forces.

Zachary T. Hanvey of Concord, Georgia, earned a bachelor's degree and commissioned as a second lieutenant in Georgia National Guard-Field Artillery. Hanvey is the child of Alan and Janice Hanvey and graduated from Pike County High School in Zebulon, Georgia, in 2011.
