Theresa C. Bucco commissions as second lieutenant

In ceremonies held May 9, 2014, at the University of North Georgia, graduating cadets were awarded commissions as second lieutenants in the U.S. Army or Georgia National Guard.

Theresa C. Bucco earned a bachelor's degree and commissioned in the U.S. Army Field Artillery. Bucco's parents are Josi Steipp of Cullman, Alabama, and Richard A. Bucco of Hanceville, Alabama. Bucco graduated from Cullman High School in Cullman, Alabama in 2010. Bucco's highest cadet rank was lieutenant colonel and she served as the brigade XO. Bucco was also a member Mountain Order of Colombo, a specialty unit of the Corps of Cadets at UNG.

UNG is a University System of Georgia leadership institution and is The Military College of Georgia. With more than 16,000 students, UNG is the state's sixth-largest public university.
