Oriana Doemland graduates from University of North Georgia

Oriana Nicole Doemland of Lawrenceville, Georgia, has graduated cum laude from the University of North Georgia (UNG) with a/an Bachelor of Science in art marketing.

The university's fall commencement ceremonies were held Dec. 10-11 for more than 500 participants; in total, UNG conferred some 782 degrees for fall semester.

"We are here to honor you with the richest tradition in the academic community -- a commencement ceremony," UNG President Bonita Jacobs said before conferring degrees. "We all know what it took for you to reach this moment. We know that, as graduates of UNG, you will add meaning and value to the lives of those around you. Our hopes and dreams are with you. Congratulations on this important milestone."

A separate commissioning ceremony was held Dec. 11 for members of the Corps of Cadets entering the armed forces as second lieutenants. Individual commissioning ceremonies recognized their service and leadership, and formally marked their entry into the U.S. Armed Forces.
