2016 May 23

Mikayla Joye Rivers of Dawsonville, GA, has been named to the President's Honor List at the University of North Georgia (UNG) for achieving a 4.0 grade point average.

Dr. Bonita C. Jacobs, president of UNG, recognized more than 1,200 students who reached this academic achievement during the spring 2016 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

With more than 17,000 students, UNG is one of the state's largest public universities, with campuses in Blue Ridge, Cumming, Dahlonega, Gainesville, and Oconee County.

As one of only six federally-designated senior military colleges in the nation, UNG is The Military College of Georgia, and its leadership development experiences have earned it designation as a state leadership institution by the University System. UNG consistently is named a top 25 public university in the South in U.S. News & World Report's "Best Colleges" report.
